You're probably addicted to lakes, Pole Creek Lake is one of those nearby, and Hiawatha Resort and Campground is a brilliant campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are nice; Pine Lake is a lake that's close to Side Lake, and if you need a spot to stay Munising - Days Inn is a fine choice. At Side Lake throughout the summer highs are in the 70's while night lows are frequently       in the 50's. Through the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 20's with temperatures at Side Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. If you came for an overnight stay Hovey Lake Campground is a brilliant site to camp; if you're here you can take a hike along the Bay De Noe Grand Island Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things in the neighborhood of Side Lake. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Munising/Wetmore Area is a wonderful                  place to spend a night or two, and if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Haymeadow Falls Trail. Side Lake is a good site of typical precipitation; September is the month that gets the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. On a great day at Side Lake you can take a hike along the Addis Lakes Ski Trail; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Au Train River. This lake is so wonderful.
