An afternoon playing golf at Mistwood Golf Course is always a joy, and of course, all our national parks are tremendous places to go to and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is no exception. Leelanau Pines is a perfect local campground, and Hart Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore. This lake is so wonderful. But wait, there's more to do       near Shisler Lake. A delightful nearby hotel is Fairfield Inn & Suites Traverse City; you can never get enough of the glorious skiing at Homestead. Through the warm months here at Shisler Lake, high temperatures usually get into the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Shisler Lake temperatures fall to the 10's. From a precipitation                  point of view Shisler Lake is a quite normal location; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. A great place for whitewater paddling next to Shisler Lake is Boardman River, and people from Traverse City love to come here.
