This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Holyoke Trail is always a tremendous adventure, and you can run the rapids of Carp River. Not far from Shiras Pool you locate Lighthouse Point, and Presque Isle Harbor is stunning. While you're here at Shiras Pool you will meet lots of people from close by Marquette. For the period       of the warmest time of the year, highs typically are in the 70's at Shiras Pool. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are usually in the 20's with temperatures at Shiras Pool dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. The amount of precipitation that falls at Shiras Pool is close to the national average; most of the rain falls throughout September; the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget                  to take a good little journey to Dead River, and there's whitewater on Dead River for all you adrenaline rush seekers.
