Little Sherwood Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and after a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Cadillac is a glorious place to spend a night or two. McGuire's Resort is a brilliant location to get some rest, and in close proximity to Sherwood Lake you find a golf course called Tustin Trails Golf Course. Sherwood Lake is right by the Hungerford Cross Country Ski Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in close proximity to Sherwood Lake.

| | There's so much to do here at Sherwood Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Beaver Lake Camp Grounds is a tremendous place for that, and if you're stopping by from Cadillac, you won't be the only one.

Peterson Bridge S Campground
| We had picked the pine river to canoe in the summer of 2004 and were told a good rustic campground would be a good choice. As it turned out it was by far the best camp site I had ever stayed in and had a great time. Our site happened to be next to the river with a great view, secluded and close to the river. I would highly recommend this campground for access to the pine river. Great canoeing, kayaking, fishing, etc. swimming... |

Actually, the best paddling on the Pine River is below Lincoln, and especially in the section from Dobson Bridge to Low Bridge (approximately 21 miles). there are numerous CI rapids from about 20 minutes US from Dobson to about 20 minutes US from Low Bridge. Unfortunately, due to livery traffic the river is kept cleared to excess. Most of the leaning trees and logjams that make padding interesting have been removed so the drunken rental boat paddlers don't get into trouble.... |
