This lake is so wonderful. Everybody close by loves skiing at Hanson Hills, and a great nearby hotel is AuSable Valley Hotel and Conference Center. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Simpson Lakes, and Woodland Motor Lodge is a nice place to get some rest. If you       want to play some golf, you're in luck because Grayling Country Club is around here. There's so much to do here at Shellenbarger Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hutt's Camp and Canoeing is a pleasant site for that. The yearly rainfall here at Shellenbarger Lake is about average; September is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is February. If only every site had this much outdoors exciting things, what a great planet it                  would be. This is a good neighborhood for folks who like lakes. Barker Lake is a lake in the vicinity; the slopes of Skyline Ski Slide are so inviting noone can resist.
