The amount of precipitation that falls at Lake Seventeen is close to the national average; through September this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is February. If the weather is splendid here at Lake Seventeen, you can go for a hike along the Chatham Ski Trail, and if you need a place to stay Northwoods Retreat is a fine choice. Throughout the long summer       days highs here at Lake Seventeen reach the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Lake Seventeen dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Visit Joe Creek if you're here at Lake Seventeen, and camping at Au Train Lake Campground is always a great experience. On a good day at Lake Seventeen you can take a hike along the Valley Spur Ski Trail, and a great place to camp here                  at Lake Seventeen is Hovey Lake Campground.
