Seneca Lake is a lake worth visiting. A great nearby hotel is Americinn - Calumet, Mi, and the fine folks of Houghton like to hang out close by. High temperatures at Seneca Lake during the warm days of summer are in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. A trip to Isle Royale National Park is recommended; paddling on Gratiot River is so much fun. An average amount of precipitation falls at Seneca Lake; January is when you get the most snow here, and the driest month is April.
