    Many people like to go to Scott Lake. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Scott Lake; the wettest month of the year is typically August, that's the one that rains the most while February is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Having a splendid time at Scott Lake is uncomplicated. After a long day outdoors Americinn - Iron River, Mi is a pleasant site to spend a night or two; people from Iron Mountain love to come here.

   is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Pine River for all you adrenaline people. There's so much to do here at Scott Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Iron River Koa Kampground is a fine place for that. Looking for something next to Scott Lake? Minnie Lake is close at hand; you can have a splendid hiking adventure along the Lauterman Trail. You could also have a look at Wagner Lake if you're here at Scott Lake; it's nearby, and Ski Brule is a great local  
               ski area.
Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Brule River. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Scott Lake has to offer, you can camp at Iron County Pentoga Park. Why not have a look at close by Olson Creek since you're here at Scott Lake, and everybody close by loves skiing at Brule Mountain. At Scott Lake through the summertime highs are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's while Scott Lake night low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's.

Whoohoo! My local ski hill on the internet, WOW! What can I say, Brule's got straight runs and wiggly runs, hard ones and easy ones, but they're all lots of fun. I've been here more times than I can remember and I keep coming back for more and more, year after year....

... forests and the rich mineral content of the ground. That untouched beauty remains only in a few unique areas left over from bygone days. Paint River Hills is truly one of those areas.

The highlight of Paint River Hills Campground is its hiking trail along the Paint River. The loop trail, about half-mile long, winds through and around the rock bluffs and hills that form the banks of the Paint River and for years has been the playground of local youngsters. The name “Paint River Hills” is the term used by locals to describe the location of the campground. Youngsters have named other areas such as Peeper Hollow, Big Rock Candy Mountain, White Pine Lookout, Fairy Tale Swamp, Rock Fort, Thistle Swamp and Camel Back Lookout.

As the trail leads you to several lookouts down the river identification signs greet you naming trees in native Ojibwa as well as Latin and English. You will wind through an old white cedar stand and see rare quartz rock outcroppings. You will have an opportunity to see abundant wildlife, which considers this area along the Paint River its sanctuary, and...
