From a precipitation point of view School Section Lake is a reasonably normal spot; September is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. Bittersweet has fine slopes and a friendly staff. Just can't get enough of School Section Lake. A beautiful lake like Chase Lake next to School Section Lake is a glorious place to visit; while       you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Kalamazoo-Portage. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn & Suites is a great spot to spend a night or two, and if you came for an overnight stay Spring Valley Recreation Area is a great place to camp. Carter Creek is a gorgeous stream that is worth visiting; if you're a golfer then a tremendous close by course is Lake Cora Hills Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such peaceful places, why                  not visit Shaw Lake right next door to School Section Lake, and tremendous skiing awaits you at Timber Ridge. For the period of the warm days of summer at School Section Lake highs are typically in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
