You can never get enough of the nice skiing at Bittersweet, and a wonderful lake like Silver Lake is a brilliant location to stop by. The annual rainfall here at Schermerhorn Lake is about average; during the month of September you get the most rain around here, and February is the month with the least moisture. Skiing at Timber Ridge is one of those things you just should do, and after a long day outdoors Budget Host Sunset Motel is a good place to spend a

| | night or two. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! Schermerhorn Lake rules! Golf can be played at Cheshire Hills Golf Course, and do visit Blueberry Lake, it's a wonderful lake.

the year are in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Schermerhorn Lake
temperatures fall to the 10's.
There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Kalamazoo River; Camp Kaskitowa is a glorious local campground.

 | It is not very big, but all of the employees are cool and you never have to wait in line to get on the lift. They sometimes seem to overestimate the amount of snow that they have also. I sometimes wonder if they actually measure the snowpiles that have been plowed in the parking lot instead of what is actually on the hill.... |
Bittersweet

Bittersweet has enormous snow-making capacity and is consistently the first to open in SW Michigan. Their vertical is only 350 ft, but that's about 100 more than any other resort in SW Michigan. As noted, their lift system is impressive, particularly the high speed detachable quad, but lines can get a little long on late December weekends. Their terrain park has a good variety of boxes, jumps, etc. Very friendly people....Yea you guys rock i love the snow...Ahh yes, Bittersweet Ski Area... Michigan skiing at it's very best. The drops in these part of the country are not that impressive but I think Bittersweet makes the most of it. I do recommend this ski area.... |
