A pleasant site to camp here at Schaawe Alek is Vagabond Resort and Campground, and why not head up to Gladstone Ski Park and strap some skis to your feet. Why not camp at Whispering Valley Campground while you're here at Schaawe Alek, and the Bay De Noe Grand Island Trail is a good hiking trail close by. Summertime highs at Schaawe Alek ordinarily tend to be in the 70's, and the nighttime is fairly chillier of course,       commonly in the 50's.
