Saunders Lake gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; throughout the month of September you get the most rain around here while February is frequently the driest month. While you're here at Saunders Lake you will meet lots of people from nearby Traverse City, and Boardman River has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot close by. Summertime highs at Saunders Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's with nighttime       lows in the 50's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Saunders Lake. If you need a spot to stay Econo Lodge is a good choice; if you get bored of Saunders Lake you could also take a look at close by Dyer Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A great nearby hotel is Econo Lodge Traverse City, and everyone nearby loves skiing at Homestead. Saunders Lake is great enough to spend more than a day                  at, Holiday Park Campgrounds-map is a great local campground, and the slopes of Crystal Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist. And that's not all you can do here at Saunders Lake.
