A tremendous close by hotel is Best Western Baraga Lakeside Inn. There's whitewater on Sturgeon River for all you adrenaline kick people, and Lower Dam Lake Campground is a glorious local campground. Lakes are such serene sites, why not take a look at Dentel Lake right next door to Saunder Lake, and Lake Ste. Kathryn Campground is a great campground nearby. During the long summer days highs here at Saunder Lake       get into the 80's with night lows in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's, and night lows throughout the wintertime for Saunder Lake tend to be in the 0's. Saunder Lake gets a common amount of rainfall; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful.
