Davies Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Munising/Wetmore Area. This lake is so wonderful. Au Train River is a tremendous whitewater spot close to Saul Lake; Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is a great place nearby. If you need a place to stay Munising - Days Inn is a tremendous choice; while you're here you will meet lots of folks from       nearby Escanaba. This spot is peerless, just check out all the cool stuff to do near Saul Lake. Cherry Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth a visit, and what would winter be without some skiing at Gladstone Ski Park. A typical amount of precipitation falls here at Saul Lake; September is when you get the most rain here, and February is when it's the driest. There's perfect hiking along the Haymeadow Falls Trail, and you can stay the                  night at Hovey Lake Campground. A lake close by is Little Pole Lake, and don't leave Saul Lake without first going for a hike along the Addis Lakes Ski Trail. Through the summertime highs here at Saul Lake reach the 70's with night lows in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and night lows during the wintertime for Saul Lake tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.
