For the duration of the warm days of summer at Sanford Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Sanford Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Sanford Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Flats Campground is a splendid local campground; why not take       a refreshing hike along the Guernsey Creek Trail. Take a hike on the Center Fireline Trail. There's so much to do here at Sanford Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Black Creek Forest Campground is a wonderful place for that. Now, you may believe that's plenty but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Sanford Lake. Some of the water nearby flows, like Black Creek; if you need a spot to stay Sleep Inn Midland is a good choice. A great                  nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Midland,Mi, and the skiing at Apple Mountain is magnificent. An average amount of rainfall falls at Sanford Lake; September is the wettest month with most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest.
