Golf can be played at Grayling Country Club; camping at River Pond Campground is always a wonderful experience. Sand Hill Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Hutt's Camp and Canoeing is a wonderful local campground; a magnificent close by hotel is Woodland Motor Lodge. This lake is so wonderful.       The skiing at Hanson Hills is glorious; if you get bored of Sand Hill Lake you could also have a look at close by May Lake. This is no site for people who don’t like to have a good time. Skyline Ski Slide is a fine local ski area. From a precipitation point of view Sand Hill Lake is a reasonably common spot; September is the wettest month with most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Sand Hill Lake. When the                  night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's.
