Salter Lake gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; the month with most of the rain       is September, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the High Rollways Truck Trail is always a perfect adventure. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Salter Lake has to offer, you can camp at Mead Creek Campground. Take a little trip to Clemons Creek while you're here at Salter Lake, and if you need a site to stay Econo Lodge Lakeshore is a delightful choice. All through the warm months at                  Salter Lake highs are usually in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Salter Lake.
