Why not camp at Blacksmith Bayou Campground if you're here at Lake Salma, and if you need a location to stay Pine Creek Lodge is a nice choice. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Tippy Dam Road Campgrounds is a brilliant location to camp, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake Salma; McKenzie Ski Trail is a great local trail. Lake Salma is not the       only site nearby, Makinen Pond is a nearby lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Ward Hills Snowmobile Trail. But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Lake Salma. From a rainfall point of view Lake Salma is a quite common place; most of the rain falls throughout September while February is ordinarily the driest month. Dry warm beds await you at High Bridge Cabins, and hey, Gotta ski right? Crystal Mountain is a tremendous place to                  do that. High temperatures at Lake Salma during the months of summer are in the 70's while overnight lows are usually in the 50's.
