Near Ryerson Lake you come across the Honeymoon Lake Snowmobile Trail which is a great hiking trail, and Ryerson Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Parks and Recreation Dept is a brilliant local campground. Through the warm months here at Ryerson Lake, high temperatures typically reach the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are usually in the 20's, and after the sun is down

| | all through the wintertime temperatures at Ryerson Lake dip into the 10's. The Newaygo County Snowmobile Trail is a fine hiking trail in close proximity to Ryerson Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Coopersville. Ryerson Lake gets a typical amount of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is usually August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is February. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Ryerson Lake. | |

There is a glorious hiking trail near Ryerson Lake called the Horseshoe Lake Cycle Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Lake Park Campground is always a wonderful experience, and Ryerson Lake is not the only place nearby,
Little Lake is a nearby lake. Briar Hill Golf Course is a brilliant golf course close by, and if you've had enough of Ryerson Lake, Crystal Lake is nearby.

Croton Dam Float Trips

Rustic Camping also available on a limited basis. As of April 15, 2009 we have two seasonal electric sites available for rent this season. Rate is $700. 00 for the year. Our camping rates nightly are $12. 00 for non-power sites and $15. 00 for electrical sites. No running water/hand pump. No dump station. Outhouses and porta- potties in the busy summer season.
Excellent smallmouth & largemouth bass, northern pike, and walleye fishing on the backwaters to Croton Dam and also north about 5 miles on the backwaters of Hardy Dam. Spring steelhead runs, rainbow & german brown trout, and fall salmon runs down on the river itself below the dam.
We do not offer river services for the Little Muskegon River.
