The amount of rain that falls at Round Lake is close to the national average; September is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. If you came to camp Moon Lake Campground is a tremendous place to do that, and enjoy a round of golf at Timber Ridge Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. Do visit Giffels Lake       in close proximity to Round Lake, it's a pretty lake, and if you need a location to stay Sleep Inn Dewitt is a nice choice. Red Cedar River is a great whitewater spot near Round Lake, and Mud Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Round Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Lansing Cottonwood Campground is a glorious local campground, and dry warm beds                  await you at Hampton Inn East Lansing. Throughout the summertime at Round Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 50's.
