From a precipitation point of view Ross Lake is a reasonably normal location; September is the month that gets the most rain while February is mostly the driest month. Through       the summertime at Ross Lake highs are commonly in the 70's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Ross Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the High Rollways Truck Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and camping at Au Sable Point Campground is always a perfect experience. There is a glorious hiking trail in the vicinity of Ross Lake called the Lakeshore                  Trail, and Ross Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Stanley Lake Campground is a nice local campground.
