The beauty of Rookery Lake is reason enough to stop by. A typical amount of rain falls here at Rookery Lake; most of the rain falls throughout September, and February on the other hand is the driest. There's tremendous hiking along the Kentuck-Spectacle Lake Trail; the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Ski Brule. This lake is so wonderful. Sparrow Rapids Campground is a fine campground nearby, and the snow is nice at Brule Mountain.
