Sure, Emily Lake is around here; there's whitewater on Otter River - West Branch for all you adrenaline kick people. An average amount of rain falls at Lake Roland; August is the wettest month with most rain while February is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Houghton, MI is a pleasant site to get some rest; Lake Roland is a great place to visit for more than one day, Bob Lake Campground and Picnic       Area is a great place to camp nearby. Hiking along the Pelkie Creek Hunter Walking Trails is great fun, and get your heart pumping on the splendid whitewater of Sturgeon River - West Branch. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a wonderful time here at Lake Roland. There are other spots here than Lake Roland, for example Lake Gerald. Throughout the summertime at Lake Roland temperatures are generally in the 80's, and the nighttime is rather cooler of course,                  regularly in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Lake Roland are in the 0's.
