Summertime highs at Robinson Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Evart, Mi is a nice spot to spend a night or two; Hammarstead Lake Camp Ground is a splendid local campground. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. | |

Paddling on Pine River is so much fun, and Spring Valley Golf Course is a golf course nearby.
This lake is so wonderful. Indian Creek is a great spot to visit, and the Hungerford Cross Country Ski Trail offers hiking at its best.
The amount of precipitation that falls at Robinson Lake is close to the national average; all through the month of September you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is February.

We had picked the pine river to canoe in the summer of 2004 and were told a good rustic campground would be a good choice. As it turned out it was by far the best camp site I had ever stayed in and had a great time. Our site happened to be next to the river with a great view, secluded and close to the river. I would highly recommend this campground for access to the pine river. Great canoeing, kayaking, fishing, etc. swimming... |

Actually, the best paddling on the Pine River is below Lincoln, and especially in the section from Dobson Bridge to Low Bridge (approximately 21 miles). there are numerous CI rapids from about 20 minutes US from Dobson to about 20 minutes US from Low Bridge. Unfortunately, due to livery traffic the river is kept cleared to excess. Most of the leaning trees and logjams that make padding interesting have been removed so the drunken rental boat paddlers don't get into trouble.... |
