There's so much to do here at River Lake that you need to camp here for a while, River Park Campgrounds and Pond is a pleasant spot for that. After a long day outdoors Woodland Motor Lodge is a great location to spend a night or two, and Treetops Sylvan has brilliant slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by       close by Clear Lake, and River Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, River Pond Campground is a great local campground. Lakes are splendid; Jones Lake is a lake that's near River Lake, and Hanson Hills is a very popular ski area in the vicinity. All the outdoors cool stuff in close proximity to River Lake will keep you coming back over and over. From a rainfall point of view River Lake is a rather typical place; the wettest month of the year                  is mostly September, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February. For the period of the days of summer, highs generally are in the 80's at River Lake, and the overnight is rather colder of course, commonly in the 50's.
