The annual precipitation here at Reed Lake is about average; most of the rain falls all through September, and the driest month is February. Going for a hike on the North Country National Scenic Trail is always a delightful adventure; a great forest nearby is Manistee National Forest. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Ward Hills Snowmobile Trail, and Last Resort is a great spot to get some rest. If only       every place had this much outdoors fun things, what a great world it would be. There are magnificent spots to discover along the Honeymoon Lake Snowmobile Trail. Reed Lake is a good place to camp, Big Star Trailer and RV Resort is a good place; a perfect close by hotel is Knotty Pine Inn. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Reed Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Reed                  Lake are in the 10's.
