Why not stop by Red Lake if you're passing through these parts. The snow is fine at Timber Ridge. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Thousand Adventures Travel Inn is always a delightful experience, and a good nearby hotel is Ramada Watervliet. From a rainfall point of view Red Lake is a reasonably normal site; September is the month that gets the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. | | Red Lake; it's nearby; if you need a place to stay Baymont Inn & Suites Dowagiac is a great choice. Summertime at Red Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; overnight lows through the winter for Red Lake tend to be in the 10's. Camping is available at Oak Shores Campground, and Red Lake is not the only place nearby, Johnson Lake is a nearby lake.

They sometimes seem to overestimate the amount of snow that they have also. I sometimes wonder if they actually measure the snowpiles that have been plowed in the parking lot instead of what is actually on the hill.... |
