Why not camp at Kenkae Travel Park and Store since you're here at Red Dam Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Sturgeon River. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff at Red Dam Lake. Norway Lake Park Paystation is a perfect local campground; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Norway Mountain. The annual       rainfall here at Red Dam Lake is about average; most of the rain falls during September while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of people from Marinette here, and Americinn - Norway, Mi is a tremendous site to get some rest. Harter Creek is a stream that you may bump into while you're here; dry warm beds await you at Iron Mountain-Days Inn. Grangers Point is near Red Dam Lake and is                  a great place to stop at, and get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Menominee River. High temperatures at Red Dam Lake throughout the long summer days are in the 80's, and the overnight is somewhat colder of course, frequently in the 50's.
