Ransom Lake is a place with many visitors from Traverse City; a brilliant close by hotel is Paradise Hollow Resort. The skiing at Crystal Mountain is great; if you get bored of Ransom Lake you could also pop by nearby Lake Ann. While you're here at Ransom Lake you can play some golf at Interlochen Golf Club. An average amount of rainfall falls at Ransom Lake; September is the month that gets the most rain; the driest       month of the year is February. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Ransom Lake. Boardman River is a good whitewater spot close to Ransom Lake, and if you came to camp Turtle Lake Campgrounds is a wonderful site to do that. Econo Lodge is a wonderful site to get some rest, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Homestead is rather near. High temperatures at Ransom Lake during the summertime are in the 80's. For the duration of the                  moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and overnight lows at Ransom Lake through the winter typically plunge into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.
