Putman Lake is a delightful location to visit for more than one day, Whispering Oaks Campground and Cabins is a delightful location to camp nearby, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Honeymoon Lake Snowmobile Trail. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Big Rapids, Mi; some nearby water includes Baldwin River. Man, is there loads of cool stuff to do right next door to Putman

Ivan's Campground & Cabins is a perfect local campground, and you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the Ward Hills Snowmobile Trail. Putman Lake gets a typical amount of annual rainfall; during September this area sees the most rain while February is ordinarily the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
