If you need a spot to stay Comfort Suites Marquette is a great choice, and City Of Marquette is a tremendous campground nearby. Carp River has a fine whitewater paddling spot close by, and a lake nearby is Uncle Tom Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Holiday Inn MARQUETTE is a glorious place to get some rest, and playing golf is lots of fun       at Red Fox Run Golf Course. High temperatures at Powell Lake through the warm months are in the 70's, and the nighttime is quite chillier of course, frequently in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Powell Lake temperatures plunge to the 0's. What a site this is for outdoors folks. In case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Escanaba River - East Branch;                  it's a great idea to have a look at Powell Lake Outlet.
