A normal amount of rain falls here at Powell Lake; the wettest month of the year is frequently September, that's the one that rains the most; February is the month with the least moisture. Get drenched paddling on Escanaba River - East Branch, and Uncle Tom Lake is a magnificent lake nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Powell Lake is a nice spot to visit for more than one day, City Of Marquette is a nice spot       to camp nearby, and there is a magnificent hiking trail close by called the Holyoke Trail. This place, Powell Lake, it completely has so much outdoors cool stuff. Lakes are such serene places, why not explore Strawberry Lake in close proximity to Powell Lake, and float down the rapids of Carp River in a kayak. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Marquette,Mi is a good site to spend a night or two, and naturally Powell Lake Outlet flows through this neighborhood.                  Comfort Suites Marquette is a fine site to get some rest, and folks from Marquette love to come here. This lake is so wonderful. Playing golf is lots of fun at Red Fox Run Golf Course. For the period of the warm days of summer at Powell Lake highs are ordinarily in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's while Powell Lake night low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 0's.
