A wonderful lake like Chapin Mine next to Powder Lakes is a delightful place to stop by, and after a long day outdoors Americas Best Inns-Iron Mountain is a good site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites IRON MOUNTAIN is a great choice, and a great location for whitewater paddling is Pemebonwon - North Branch. Camping at Rivers Bend Campground is always a tremendous experience,

This lake is so wonderful. A delightful place to camp here at Powder Lakes is Iron Mountain Campgrounds, and you can run the rapids of Menominee River. Summertime highs at Powder Lakes usually tend to be in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's with winter
lows in the-10's overnight here at Powder Lakes. You get a great view of Millie Hill from Powder Lakes, and there are plenty of people from Iron Mountain here. Powder Lakes gets a common amount of rain; during the month of September you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February.
