Timberline Campground
15 miles away This clean quiet wooded campground has been our destination for 7 years now. We use it as a pivot point for fishing, road trips, canoeing, gambling, antiqueing, and just laying back and enjoying the campground facilites. Beautiful Lake Michigan, a few miles away, is a big draw for us also. I feel that this campground has alowed us with our modest income to enjoy the best of life. As our sign says in our family room, 'We would rather be 'up north'' Thanks Timberline Campgournd....

Timber Surf Camping Resort
18 miles away My husband and I are in our early 40's and we love to camp at Timber Surf Camping Resort! We have camped at many places inside Michigan and many other states, and Timber Surf is one of our most favorite places. The owners are very friendly and take great care of your camping needs without being intrusive. Timber Surf is clean, super quiet and a great place to relax. It is on a quiet lake where it is great to take a canoe or kayak ride. You can cruise along the shoreline and see all kinds of wildlife. If you get bored relaxing, Timber Surf is a short drive to Ludington were there is some nice shops and plenty of antiques. There is also Ludington State Park near by where you can hike, swim, boat, etc. but you can return to the quiet of the Timber Surf at the end of the day instead of the noisy, sardine packed Campgrounds at the State Park. Finally, Timber Surf is also a close drive to the Manistee National Forest which it a beautiful place to spend a day hiking and picnicing. All said, Timber Surf Camping Resort gets five stars from this camper!...
Round Lake
19 miles away 2 PHOTOS I was raised on Round Lake. It is a very beautiful lake, especially at sunset. We have great Firework displays on or near the Fourth of July. For anyone who visited it in recent years and was disgusted by the seaweed infestation that we went through, Good News! That has been cleared up. There is a great log cabin resort right on Round Lake called Landers Landing. The two pictures I have uploaded have views of Round Lake in the background. The picinic one was in 2006 and my wedding picture was in 1997. Both pictues were in the month of August....
Crystal Lake Campground
19 miles away It is the best campground in Ludington in my book! We go there with my in-laws quite often and it is great for the entire family. There are about five seperate families that go and all of us love it. They have a game room, the campground is right on a lake, and lots of nice paths for everyone to ride bike or walk around on. I would recommed it to anyone that is looking for a nice family friendly place to stay. Their bath houses are always really nice and clean. (They also have a camp store which has wonderful ice cream, my favorite stop of the trip!)...
