This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Poplar Lake, for example Jenkins Lake, and Poplar Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Alcona Canoe Rental and Campground is a great local campground. Poplar Lake gets a common amount of yearly rain; August is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with       the least moisture. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not go to Clear Lake next to Poplar Lake, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Eagle Ridge Golf Club is in the neighborhood. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Poplar Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 50's.
