Man, is there a heap of enjoyable things to do next to Pikes Lake. Pikes Lake is not far at all from Traverse City, and you can hit the slopes at Homestead close by. This is a pleasant neighborhood for people who like lakes. Cook Lake is a lake in close proximity; if you came for an overnight stay Cycle-Moore is a great spot       to camp. Enjoy a round of golf at Mistwood Golf Course not far from Pikes Lake, and there's whitewater on Boardman River for all you adrenaline people. This lake is so wonderful. From a precipitation point of view Pikes Lake is a reasonably common place; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain while February is commonly the driest month. Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is a pleasant spot in the neighborhood of Pikes Lake,                  and after a long day outdoors Courtyard Traverse City is a tremendous location to spend a night or two. All through the summer at Pikes Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Pikes Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
