A nice place to camp here at Picnic Lake is Pere Marquette Campground; a glorious close by hotel is Manistee-Days Inn. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Picnic Lake. Camping at Timber Surf Camping Resort is always a great experience, and if the weather       is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the North Country National Scenic Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Have a splendid hiking adventure along the Indian Trail, and Microtel Inn and Suites Manistee is a great site to get some rest. All through the summertime months, highs regularly are in the 80's at Picnic Lake. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's.
