Summertime highs at Pettit Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; night lows through the winter for Pettit Lake tend to be in the 0's. Pettit Lake gets a common amount of annual rainfall; September is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture. This is no site for people who don’t like       to have a good time. Hit the slopes at Cannonsburg nearby, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Suites Comstock Park is a glorious place to spend a night or two. A magnificent place to camp here at Pettit Lake is Croton Dam Float Trips. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Pettit Lake, you could also visit picturesque Croton Dam Pond, and it's a wonderful idea to have a look at Little Muskegon River. Holiday Inn Big Rapids, Mi is a good place to                  get some rest; the Hungerford Cross Country Ski Trail offers hiking at its best. Why not camp at Croton Township Campground since you're here at Pettit Lake, and why not pop by Croton Dam while you're here.
