Peterson Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Peterson Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Parks and Recreation Dept is a wonderful local campground, and after a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Coopersville is a good site to spend a night or two. Go for a hike on the Newaygo County Snowmobile Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Blackberry Lake. Peterson Lake is a good spot

| | of normal rain; August is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is February. For the period of the warm months at Peterson Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows through the winter for Peterson Lake tend to be in the 10's. camp here for a while, Lake Park Campground is a good spot for that. Lakes are great; Woodrail Lake is a lake that's next to Peterson Lake. Yep, outdoors entertaining stuff to do are truly bountiful here at Peterson Lake. There's
good hiking along the Honeymoon Lake Snowmobile Trail, and don't leave Peterson Lake without first going for a hike along the Horseshoe Lake Cycle Trail. Ramshom Country Club is a golf course close to Peterson Lake, and some of the water nearby flows, like First Cole Creek.

Croton Dam Float Trips

Rustic Camping also available on a limited basis. As of April 15, 2009 we have two seasonal electric sites available for rent this season. Rate is $700. 00 for the year. Our camping rates nightly are $12. 00 for non-power sites and $15. 00 for electrical sites. No running water/hand pump. No dump station. Outhouses and porta- potties in the busy summer season.
Excellent smallmouth & largemouth bass, northern pike, and walleye fishing on the backwaters to Croton Dam and also north about 5 miles on the backwaters of Hardy Dam. Spring steelhead runs, rainbow & german brown trout, and fall salmon runs down on the river itself below the dam.
We do not offer river services for the Little Muskegon River.
