Best Western Baraga Lakeside Inn is a wonderful site to get some rest, and not far from Penegor Lake you'll find Echo Lake which is a lovely lake. This lake is so wonderful. Sparrow Rapids Campground is a delightful local campground; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend       Sturgeon River - West Branch. And that's not all you can do here at Penegor Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Bob Lake Campground and Picnic Area is a good location to camp, and on a nice day you can take a hike along the Pelkie Creek Hunter Walking Trails. Penegor Lake is a good place of normal rainfall; the wettest month of the year is typically September, that's the one that rains the most, and February on the other hand is the driest. The warmest                  time of the year at Penegor Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's.
