If you need a site to stay Comfort Inn Munising is a great choice, and Wide Water Campground is a great campground nearby. Visit Deer Creek since you're here at Peanut Lake; close by you find the Haywire Grade ORV Trail which is a fine hiking trail. Dry warm beds await you at AmericInn Munising; going for a hike on the Valley Spur Ski Trail is always a great adventure. Peanut Lake is a good       site of normal precipitation; most of the rain falls during September while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Not far from Peanut Lake, you'll stumble on Byers Lake which is a beautiful lake, and there is a magnificent hiking trail nearby called the Big Island Lake Portage Canoe Trail. Through the summer months at Peanut Lake highs are usually in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. During the                  winter highs are in the 20's; overnight lows during the wintertime for Peanut Lake tend to be in the 0's. If you haven’t been to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, you must schedule some time for it if you're here. What a place this is for outdoors people.
