Going for a hike on the Haymeadow Falls Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and Greens Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Munising Wetmore Area is a fine spot to spend a night or two. At Peacock Lake during the summer months highs are in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows throughout the winter for Peacock Lake tend to be

| | in the 0's. There is a great hiking trail in the neighborhood of Peacock Lake called the Bay De Noe Grand Island Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Peacock Lake has to offer, you can camp at Edgewood Motel. Just can't get enough of Peacock Lake. February. There's so much to do here at Peacock Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Whispering Valley Campground is a great spot for that; a day on the slopes of Gladstone Ski Park is just what you need.

 | 15 miles away 1 PHOTO Valley Spur, a favorite Alger County destination of many dedicated cross country skiers, hikers, and mountain bike enthusiasts, is located on M-94 approximately 4 miles south of Munising, Michigan in the Hiawatha National Forest. The 27 mile (45 km) cross country ski trail system is groomed daily or as the need arises from December through April so that the trails are always ready. All trails are groomed for both skate and classic ski. Down hill trails are designed with run out and good sight distance keeping safety in mind.
