Some of the water close by flows, like Marathon Creek; Pats Lake is not the only location nearby, Katherine Lake is a nearby lake. Pats Lake gets a typical amount of precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. A wonderful close by hotel is Settle Inn & Stes Eagle River; the skiing at Porcupine Mountain       is glorious. Pats Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Balsam Campground is a pleasant local campground, and if you've had enough of Pats Lake, Helen Lake is nearby. Float down the rapids of Ontonagon River in a kayak, and enjoy a round of golf at Gateway Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Ash Campground is a nice spot to do that; if you come at the right time of year, Ontonagon River - Middle Branch offers some                  fine whitewater. High temperatures at Pats Lake all through the warmest time of the year are in the 70's while overnight lows are regularly in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 10's while Pats Lake night low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the-10's. That right there is loads already, but it goes on; Pats Lake has it all.
