Why not camp at Golden Eagle Park and Campground since you're here at Paint River Pond, and you'll meet a lot of people from Iron Mountain here. This lake is so wonderful. Keyes Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, and if you come at the right time of year, Paint River offers some tremendous whitewater. Paint River Pond gets a typical amount of annual rainfall; through the month of August you       get the most rain around here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Don't leave Paint River Pond without first paying a visit to Horserace Rapids, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Spread Eagle Golf Course. Keyes Lake Campground is a nice local campground; if you need a site to stay Budget Host Inn Iron Mountain is a good choice. So much exciting stuff close to Paint River Pond, simply astonishing. The Lauterman Trail offers hiking at its                  best; dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites IRON MOUNTAIN. For the period of the warm months, highs mostly are in the 70's at Paint River Pond. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 10's while Paint River Pond night low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful.
