Ovidhall Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Salmon Run Campground Canoes is a great local campground; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out close by Mud Lake. Now, you may assume that's heaps but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Ovidhall Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There is a great hiking trail in the neighborhood of Ovidhall Lake

the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; overnight lows at Ovidhall Lake through the wintertime regularly fall into the 10's. Lakes? Sure, Half Moon Lake is close at hand, and Rodeway Inn Coopersville is a magnificent
spot to get some rest. From a rainfall point of view Ovidhall Lake is a reasonably normal place; the wettest month of the year is usually August, that's the one that rains the most, and February meanwhile is the driest month.

Croton Dam Float Trips

Rustic Camping also available on a limited basis. As of April 15, 2009 we have two seasonal electric sites available for rent this season. Rate is $700. 00 for the year. Our camping rates nightly are $12. 00 for non-power sites and $15. 00 for electrical sites. No running water/hand pump. No dump station. Outhouses and porta- potties in the busy summer season.
Excellent smallmouth & largemouth bass, northern pike, and walleye fishing on the backwaters to Croton Dam and also north about 5 miles on the backwaters of Hardy Dam. Spring steelhead runs, rainbow & german brown trout, and fall salmon runs down on the river itself below the dam.
We do not offer river services for the Little Muskegon River.
We do offer a car spotting service to take your vehicles down river while you boat, canoe, or kayak the river. We also provide transportation services for individuals and their own equipment for a reasonable fee.
