You'll come across a picturesque lake called Grass Lake near Oatman Lake. There's so much to do here at Oatman Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Coldbrook County Park is a great place for that. For the duration of the summer months at Oatman Lake highs are regularly in the 80's. During       the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Oatman Lake are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Kalamazoo River, and if you need a place to stay Fairfield Inn Kalamazoo East is a good choice. The snow is perfect at Bittersweet, and if you're going to from Kalamazoo-Portage, you won't be the only one. From a rainfall point                  of view Oatman Lake is a rather normal location; through September this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February.
