Lake No Sho Mo is a lake worth visiting. What would winter be without some skiing at Caberfae Peaks. There's so much to do here at Lake No Sho Mo that you need to camp here for a while, Blodgett Landing is a fine place for that. If you come at the right time of year, Pine River offers some perfect whitewater; an afternoon playing golf at Spring Valley Golf Course is always a delight. This lake is so wonderful. There are plenty of people from Big Rapids here

You'll come across a delightful lake called Austin Lake near Lake No Sho Mo, and after a long day outdoors Big Rapids Super 8 Motel is a brilliant site to spend a night or two. And if that's not sufficient, there's plenty more to do near Lake No Sho Mo. Hewitt Creek is near Lake No Sho Mo and is always a delight to visit, and a beautiful lake like Lincoln Lake is a delightful location to explore. Go for a hike on the Lincoln Mills Snowmobile | |

Lake No Sho Mo gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; the wettest month of the year is mostly September, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is February.
For the duration of the days of summer, highs typically are in the 80's at Lake No Sho Mo, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Lake No Sho
Mo. This lake is so wonderful. There are great places to explore along the Hungerford Cross Country Ski Trail, and Holiday Inn Big Rapids, Mi is a fine location to get some rest.

Actually, the best paddling on the Pine River is below Lincoln, and especially in the section from Dobson Bridge to Low Bridge (approximately 21 miles). there are numerous CI rapids from about 20 minutes US from Dobson to about 20 minutes US from Low Bridge. Unfortunately, due to livery traffic the river is kept cleared to excess. Most of the leaning trees and logjams that make padding interesting have been removed so the drunken rental boat paddlers don't get into trouble.... |

We had picked the pine river to canoe in the summer of 2004 and were told a good rustic campground would be a good choice. As it turned out it was by far the best camp site I had ever stayed in and had a great time. Our site happened to be next to the river with a great view, secluded and close to the river. I would highly recommend this campground for access to the pine river. Great canoeing, kayaking, fishing, etc. swimming... |
