Going for a hike on the Haywire Grade ORV Trail is always a brilliant adventure; not far from Ninemile Lake you'll hit upon Makel Lake which is a striking lake. Indian Lake Travel Resort is a great campground nearby, and Holiday Inn Express Manistique, Mi is a tremendous spot to get some rest. Good hiking is available along the Big Island Lake Portage Canoe Trail. Lakes are great; Grass Lake is a lake that's       near Ninemile Lake. For the duration of the summertime, highs typically are in the 70's at Ninemile Lake while overnight lows are commonly in the 50's.
