Take a hike on the Newaygo County Snowmobile Trail. There's so much to do here at Nichols Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Big Star Trailer and RV Resort is a great site for that. Nichols Lake is right by the Honeymoon Lake Snowmobile Trail; not far from Nichols Lake you'll hit upon Atodd Lake which is a delightful lake. This place rules, just check out all the cool things to       do in the neighborhood of Nichols Lake. Hiking along the North Country National Scenic Trail is splendid fun; Nichols Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Putman Lake Camping is a pleasant local campground. For the duration of the summertime here at Nichols Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 50's. All through the winter the highs are mostly in the 20's, and overnight lows in the                  10's for Nichols Lake. An average amount of rainfall falls at Nichols Lake; most of the rain falls through August; the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful.
