Newton Lake is a good location of typical rain; through September this area sees the most rain while February is regularly the driest month. Baymont Inn and Suites Battle Creek is a great location to get some rest, and an afternoon playing golf at Hastings Country Club is always a diversion. This lake is so wonderful. Lily Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and if you came to camp Wesleyan       Campgrounds is a good spot to do that. A great nearby hotel is Yarrow Golf & Conference Center. While you're here at Newton Lake, you could also stop at gorgeous Myers Lake; camping at Welcome woods Campground is always a nice experience. Summertime highs at Newton Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
