From a rainfall point of view Nelson Lake is a quite common spot; through the month of September you get the most rain around here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Man, is there a lot of exciting things to do in the neighborhood of Nelson Lake. This lake is so wonderful. It's a brilliant idea to check out Petticoat Creek, it's next to Nelson Lake,       and if you came for an overnight stay Silver Lake Resort is a pleasant site to camp. In the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Michigamme River, and since you're here, you could also check out gorgeous Fire Lake. High temperatures at Nelson Lake throughout the summer months are in the 70's while nighttime lows are typically in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Nelson Lake                  dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights.
